April 2 – Stress Awareness Month Tuesday Stress Test – Wrangling Work Stress
Work stress is something that nearly everyone suffers from occasionally. There are all sorts of things that can stress you out when you're on the job. You could be having a bad personal day that follows you to work. Your boss or coworkers could be having bad days, and they may take that negativity out on you and others.
Stress at work may lead to burnout if left unchecked, therefore, it is strongly recommended to take some time each day to find some calm. You can do this by taking a short break when things start to get stressful. On your break, do one or more of the following:
- Go for a walk outside – Just a short walk and some fresh air will be enough to help you find some peace of mind.
- Take a meditation break – Meditation techniques are an effective way to bring some mental calm to your day.
- Use CalmiGo – CalmiGo is portable and easy to use. Keep your device on you or at your desk during the workday for a quick relaxing breathing session that requires no more than 3 minutes.
